Refunds & Cancellation

Cancel anytime. Here is exactly what is and isn't refundable, and how to make a change to your account.

Cancel anytime

You can cancel your Medical Arts membership at any time. There is no long-term contract and no cancellation fee. Canceling stops your next billing cycle; it does not automatically refund a charge that has already processed.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access to your account and any medication already shipped through the end of that period.

What is and isn't refundable

Your monthly or quarterly membership fee covers your provider visit and review, prescribed medication when appropriate, dose titration, monthly check-ins, and shipping. Because prescription medication is dispensed specifically for you after a clinical review, it is treated differently from a typical retail purchase.

  • Checking whether you qualify is free. There is no separate provider review fee. You are charged only after a licensed provider reviews your assessment and prescribes a program for you.
  • Medication that has already shipped is a prescription product filled specifically for you. Once it leaves the pharmacy, it generally cannot be returned or refunded, consistent with pharmacy regulations that prohibit the resale of dispensed prescription medication, except where the shipment arrived damaged or incorrect (see below).
  • If a provider determines a program is not appropriate for you, you are not charged at all. No medication charge, and nothing for the review itself.
  • Future billing cycles are canceled once you cancel; you will not be charged again after your effective cancellation date.

Damaged or incorrect shipments

If your order arrives damaged, appears compromised, or is not what you ordered, contact our care team within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue. We will work with the pharmacy to arrange a replacement or a refund for that shipment. Because medications can be affected by temperature and handling in transit, do not use medication that arrived visibly damaged, discolored, or improperly sealed. Contact us before use so we can help.

How to cancel

You can cancel in either of these ways:

  • Contact our care team through Contact us and request cancellation. One message is enough, and there is no retention script to get through.
  • From your patient portal, once your account is set up, open Manage Membership and choose Cancel

We will send you a confirmation once your cancellation is processed.

Timing relative to your billing date

To avoid being charged for an upcoming cycle, cancel before your next billing date. The care team will tell you exactly when that is, and it is shown in your patient portal once your account is set up. If you cancel on or after your billing date, that cycle's charge has already processed and the cancellation will take effect for the following cycle. You are welcome to restart your membership at any time.
